I wish I had a great story to tell… maybe someday! So lets start with this… I have three beautiful children, when my third was born, so was my idea. I was actually in the hospital, after having Dash when the inspiration came to me that I should design baby clothes!

I first better back up and tell you that I have never designed a piece of clothing in my life before this, so I’m not sure what motivated me to do such a thing. I am an artist painting pictures here and there, custom painting walls, and dabbling in interior design and a random stint as a master esthetician. I finally found what I want to do when I grow up! I had an idea of what I wanted, nothing I had ever seen, but I was unsure of whether I would be the only one to think this idea was great? I have to tell you just like all creative people I’m a bit of a “nut!”  My brain is always spinning from one thing to the next, I am always full of new ideas, always thinking.

Well there are two lucky people that always get to hear all of my craziness my husband and my mom. My mom believed in this idea, and she is what pushed me to do it. Otherwise it would have never transpired. I originally was thinking I would just do clothing for baby boys, because there are just way too many cute girls’ clothes out there right moms!

This is why I came up with the name “Dash & Diesel” The name’s of my two little dudes. I’m sure you are going “but wait you have three kids?” Why just two? Well my first is a girl and like I said it was originally just a boy clothing line. This is why you might see “Drew Babe” on a lot of my stuff. She is my Drew Babe. Hey that sounds like a great name for a new clothing line!!??? Ok, one thing at a time.

But I do have to say that I have the most awesome family and friends they are the force behind me. They saw the potential in my crazy idea, and believed in it. So the story continues……
